On New Year’s Eve, Maria gets two proposals she isn’t expecting. Adam, her live-in boyfriend, asks her to marry him, and Ünsal, her Turkish ex-boyfriend, asks her to meet him in Istanbul. What’s a girl to do? Even though it has been two years since they broke up, Maria can’t let go of the memories they have together. What started like the perfect fairy tale between Ünsal, a PhD-student, and Maria, an undergrad, turned sour once he graduated and had to leave for Turkey. It had to end at some point, didn’t it? But as she finds herself in Istanbul with the man she swore she didn’t love anymore, Maria discovers how some things -and some people- just can’t be forgotten. A story about how love can cross cultures, religions, nationalities, and even oceans.
