daughter of one of the operations leading heads, Carmine Steele has

to face Obsidian again. But all that changes when she gets a new
assignment: seven loose ends that have begun to exhibit unusual powers.
As Carmine comes face to face with the results of a treatment she has
only read reports about, she begins to question all that she has ever
known. As the seven recipients of this mysterious treatment set out to
unravel the truth surrounding their pasts, they unintentionally reawaken
Obsidian. Once again Isabelline’s life is in danger, and the dark past that
