When I was a young girl I was fascinated by magic, fairies, dragons and the magic of Mother Nature. My fascination drove me to write this story about Deana Mae, a 11 year old girl who goes on an extraordinary journey to learn and understand her new found powers taught to her by her Great, Great, Great Grandmother who could trace her roots back to Africa. Deana Mae learns how Mother Nature replenishes herself and can grow a forest from a single seed. In doing so she learns why it is important to live with the earth; not just on her.

I earned my Master of Education at Lesley University in Cambridge Massachusetts. As a Storyteller I recants the "How Come" and "Why" stories of Anansi the Spider, Bruh Gator as Uncle Monday, Bruh Rabbit, Sis Hen, Bruh Dog and all their friends. I enrapture the listener of all ages with these tales. I earned my Master of Education at Lesley University in Cambridge Massachusetts.
