Ann J. Kearns

Ann’s favorite genre has always been historical fiction. Her first novel was based on the life of her Great-great grandma Sarah Collins from Ulster, Ireland, who stole away her little sister so she wouldn’t be alone sailing to America. Her second book tells the story of her father during the 1918 flu epidemic. Everyone in his family was deathly ill, but he didn’t get sick because he was in the fresh air trapping beaver. Now, you can enjoy her latest novel, Fine As Cream Gravy set in Southern Utah in1877. Ann has lived in Southern Utah since 1980. She enjoys studying pioneer medicine, cooking methods, and the early education system in the Utah Territory.
