Carol was bom in Martins Ferry, OH, and was raised in the nearby town of Bridgeport, OH. She is the youngest of 4 girls horn to Edward and Evelyn Spencer. She graduated from Bridgeport High School and then went to Ohio University in Athens and majored in Sociology and Social Work. One week after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart. They were married for 32 years and had two children: a son and a daughter. Carol earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1990 and has worked as a Clinical Social Worker ever since. Terry and Carol were married in March of 1993, and were married for 20 years. They divorced in 2013
