Chut Vinpongse was bom in Bangkok, Thailand, and spent his formative years in Melbourne, Australia. The author had a long career practicing neuroradiology including holding academig positions at Yale University, earning a profesorship at the University of Florida at the age of thirty nine. He has published over 60 well-regarded academic papers, and being recognized with awards for his outstanding leadership, service, and teaching i in the field. He recently retired to devote himself to writing fiction. The author now lives in Lakeland, Florida with his wife, son, and two dogs. He is an avid cyclist, and also gardens, reads extensively, plays the guitar and plano, writes songs and poetry, and practices photography.
