Rick Fort has been an avid writer for 40 years. He started writing songs and poems at the age of 8 and by the time he was 18 he had over 150 songs in his personal collection. Growing up in a small town in Arkansas his exposure to the music industry was very limited but his passion for writing continued. His career path took off quickly after moving to Texas which led him more towards the Information Technology field. Although the technology industry demanded most of his time, Rick never lost his passion for writing and occasionally was able lend his talents to his industry by writing some technical manuals, advertisements and presentations. After getting married, Rick later accepted the honor of writing anonymously for an online magazine on articles relating to “A Man’s Perspective.” Rick soon was inspired to write “All Men ARE Dogs: YOU Are the Dog Trainer” but was never able to complete and publish it due to demands in his career in technology. Many years later, armed with even more songs, poems, and even a children’s book he wrote inspired by storytelling at night for his children, Rick vowed he wouldn’t let another year pass without finally completing and publishing his first book. Now finally published and released in late 2016, Rick is now working on a new novel and will be releasing his children’s book next year.
